As women, we tend to show compassion and grace for the people that we are closet too like a family member or a close friend. We will bend over backward and do backflips in the air for our loved ones to feel “loved’ by us.
But, let’s be real… do we show the same level of compassion and grace to ourselves? I don’t know about you, but for me, I am probably the hardest on myself. I get disappointed in myself when I don’t accomplish all that is on my crazy to-do list, or I get frustrated with myself when I can’t be in two places at once to cheer on my kids at their extra circular activities.
Let’s daydream for a minute girl… What would your life look like if you chose to extend yourself the same amount of compassion and grace as you do to the people in your life that you love? Maybe a lot less anxiety, the comparison trap would not hold any more power, and you might start seeing yourself a bit more how Jesus you. He calls you chosen, beautiful, masterpiece… faults and all!  So dear one, would you be willing to give it a go? Compassion and Grace are two pieces of your wardrobe that will for sure make you sparkle this season!
