Over the past decade, the music and impact of We Are Messengers has expanded, one concert at a time, from the quiet hills of Northern Ireland to around the globe. The upcoming Fall leg of the Where The Joy Is Tour will carry on this tradition by featuring iconic signature songs like “Come What May”, “Maybe It’s OK”, “Magnify”, “Wholehearted” and new songs like “God Be The Glory.” Join We Are Messengers with special guests Jonathan Traylor and Nathan Tasker for an electrifying and inspirational night of music, led by Irish-born frontman Darren Mulligan. More information can be found at wearemessengersmusic.com.
We Are Messengers is fronted by Darren Mulligan, a single-minded Irish man who writes rock n’ roll anthems and intimate earthly psalms for messy broken people. The goal has always been to engage culture in conversation about the goodness of God and to put words and melody to some of the hardest things we feel as humans. This is a band that understands and loves the outsiders, the marginalized, the lost and the least. We Are Messengers have built a career, the old-fashioned way, on the road touring relentlessly around the USA, Europe and beyond. They have had 11 consecutive top 10 radio singles including the multi chart #1 hit song “Come What May” and the Gold certified “Maybe It’s OK.” Collaboration has been a cornerstone of We Are Messengers distinctive sound. In 2020 country legend Vince Gill joined the band on a one take stripped back version of “Image of God” captured live and acoustic at Vince’s place. Features by Cory Asbury, Josh Baldwin, Ben Fuller, Blanca, Naomi Raine of Maverick City and Christian Hip Hop legend KB have followed.
As a Motown Gospel [Capitol CMG] artist, Jonathan Traylor has received nominations from industry influencers for both the Dove and Stellar awards and toured with Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Jordan Feliz, and Jonathan McReynolds. He touts a “Billboard #1” song for his feature with Jordan Feliz and Mandisa on “Jesus Is Coming Back.” A passionate worship leader at the Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jonathan believes in building God’s Kingdom on earth through the local church and the world together. Jonathan and his wife Ryan have two daughters, Charlie and Blake who they’re raising to be world changers. Jonathan Traylor is a triple threat, and maybe more. As a world-class singer/songwriter, producer/musician, and dancer, Jonathan Traylor is poised to breathe new energy into the faith-based music scene with his unapologetically, unconventional sound and style.
Nathan Tasker is an Australian singer-songwriter and storyteller, known for using timeless, guitar-driven pop songs and deeply thoughtful lyrics to communicate a deep desire to awaken hearts to a living Savior. “My hope is that my music would be honest and authentic, and representative of the entire Christian life, one in which our God uses the full spectrum of colors – emotions, experiences – at His disposal to shape us and make us more like His Son, Jesus”, says Tasker. By weaving his own journey of sorrow, doubt, and hope into songs that transcend his personal life, Tasker compels listeners to look to an eternal reality and lasting truth. “And I’m reminded time and time again that our world needs to hear of the one true hope that can only be found in Jesus, now more than ever.” Other career highlights include… Seven #1 Radio Singles in Australia * Two-time “Artist of the Year” in Australia * “Song of the Year” Australia * Toured extensively with such renowned artists as Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, Newsboys, We Are Messengers, Keith & Kristyn Getty, Andrew Peterson, and others * Toured extensively through the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and South Africa * Encouraged audiences to help release over 35,000 children from poverty through Compassion International
